Another way to say Thank You!

During this very very busy moment of the year my mother really helps me a lot. I have orders from Singpore and Hong Kong which I can't make it by myself because I have a baby boy to take care of. But 80% of them have been sent to the customers; another 20% is to be finished soon.

Anyway, my local store went so well during this month of celebration. I usually give a little gift to my customers to say thank you and I do feel it. But I think there's more I can give so I started to give them discount coupons yesterday. There are 10%, 25% and 50% discount coupons for lucky cutomers. 7 10% off coupons, 12 25% and 3 50% have been given away and I hope I have more chance to give more and more... : ) Thank you so much!

5 tote bags and 10 zip pouches sold!

What a great day! I've sold 5 tote bags and 10 zip pouches in 1 day at my local store to Mrs.Whitman, a beautiful American lady. She wanted them to be Christmas gifts for her friends and family in Florida. Hi people in Florida, my handmade products are gonna fly there to see you. : )

I love Japanese Fabric House!

This morning I went to the fabric market near my home to buy new fabrics to make 7 clutches. It's so hard to find a nice magenta pink one. I searched in vain for it. I thought I had to cancel the project because I couldn't find the fabric that I really liked, but there's one Japanese Fabric House which is famous for its expensive price, and I never thought I would buy fabrics from this store.
My husband was in a hurry so I had to stop by this store. And I finally found the beautiful linen and cotton, and they're about 3 times more expensive than the other stores. But that's ok because the print is so impressive. And I think I have to visit this store again and again.

New family member

Last Sunday my family welcomed a new member. He's 50 cm tall and about 3.5 kg in weight. Like other millions of mothers, I couldn't stop crying when we first met. Even when writing this very short post, I have to wipe tears from my eyes. What's more I can say? This is the best moment in my life! And I'd like to thank my husband for always being right by my side.

New shop on DaWanda

These days I don't have much time to make any new bags or pouches because I have some other jobs to finish, and next week I'll be away where I can't access the Internet for a while. I'm gonna miss my sewing machine and computer so much. Y_Y

By the way, I've also listed my handmade products on on DaWanda days ago. It's a very new website but has many members especially from Germany. Check it out at http://en.dawanda.com/user/thainammon.

Well, I don't have any new items in my stock. That's all that I have for now and I'm gonna list the new one just once in a while. But I'll list it on both Etsy and DaWanda right away after finishing the new one. Thank you for checking out my both shops.

Introducing new make-up and brush bag set

This set is so perfect to be a gift for your friends or loved ones, and I'm gonna give it to my friend whose birthday is on Halloween! Of course, she loves wearing make-up. And I hope that she hasn't had a set like this one yet. : P

More items listed on Etsy

After seeing the doctor, this afternoon I went to my sister-in-law's house to take more photos of my handmade items. The weather was so bad. It's not sunny at all, but what could I do?

Well, I've just listed a new set of handbag, mini bag and pouch on Etsy. My mom likes this set a lot because they could carry all kinds of her belongings. And I hope it'll be a nice gift for everyone.

My shop on Etsy

I finally opened a shop on Etsy!
After working so hard on sewing bags and pouches every day, now it's time to sell them on the internet.
Actually, I have more bags in my stock, but I don't have time to see my sister-in-law to take photos. (you know, she's my only model!)
And the weather in Thailand is so mad. Where's the sun?
I hope I can sell the bag soon. : )

Everyday tote

Actually I've finished this everyday tote 2 days ago but I didn't have time to post it here because I had to see the doctor and went shopping for new fabrics.

First of all, I wanna thank my sister-in-law for being a lovely model for this tote. And I'm gonna sell it on Etsy soon. But right now I've got to work harder to have enough products to sell on it. More beautiful bags are coming. Hope you like this one. Thank you.

Beautiful wooden handles

Last week I found these nice and lovely wooden handles by chance in Sam Pheng, the biggest market for craft lovers in Thailand. The store is very small but the products are really great and not so expensive. There're in many shapes, at least 20 as I could count, but they're not so quite popular because I was the only one taking a look at them while hundreds of people passed slowly along the street.

And here are 5 shapes that I bought from there and I'm going to do something with them. Actually they're so perfect for my next products. And I'm gonna start with the 4th pair pictured here tomorrow. I'll take its photos and show you after finishing it.

By the way, I also sell these wooden handles from $4-6.00 depending on its size. I'll give you the information later or you can contact me at tonammon@yahoo.com. Thank you.

My brief profile

Hi everyone!

This is my first blog on BlogSpot.com and here is my brief profile.

After quitting a job as a web content provider for The Nation website, Thailand's English language newspaper, I start to do what I really love!

After graduating in Journalism from Chulalongkorn University in 2003, I worked as a web content provider for almost 4 years. During those years I kept on doing what I really love. Yes, it's sewing!

Well, I had to quit my job because my husband and I both agreed that I should stay home to raise our baby, and I'm expecting him by the end of October 2007. (while writing this post, I'm 8 months and 3 weeks pregnant) Staying at home to see my baby grow up is what I always dream of. I think it's like a miracle to see our baby start to walk or talk. Besides that, I have time to sew, sew and sew.

Last but not least, I hope you like my handmade totes and handbags. ^_^

Oh. I forgot to tell you all about the name of my products, and it's gonna be my first child's name. Nam Mon means spiritual water from Buddhist monk. If you have a chance to visit Thailand, don't forget to be sprinkled by Nam Mon. And you'll have a better day. : )
